Analysis by Group Iteration Using Substructures

A procedure developed to analyze complex structures by group iteration. The analysis is formulated by the displacement method, using substructures. A group iteration is used to relax the constraints imposed at the junctions of the substructures when each is analyzed separately with fixed boundaries. The procedure is applied to the analysis of a continuous concrete floor slab and indicates that the solution converges rapidly to sufficiently accurate results.
