Limit design of symmetrical steel floor system of crossed prismatic beams by simple plastic theory neglecting torsional rigidity is presented; collapse mechanisms for different support conditions of floor beams are determined and represented by means of collapse lines; analysis also deals with equivalent concentrated loads and tentative case of active reactions.
