Stress Distribution Around Batter Piles

The Mindlin theory is used to investigate the stress distribution around batter piles with the help of oblique axes coordinates system instead of the usual rectangular axes. The distribution of the skin friction is assumed and three cases are considered. The results are compared with available solutions for vertical piles and presented in the form of dimensionless stress coefficients for μ=0.3 and 0.5. For other types of skin friction distribution, superposition of the results are recommended.
