A review is made of 112 papers presented at the National Conference on Coastal Engineering in Japan, 1976, which was the 23rd one annually held since 1954. Papers of interest are briefly introduced, according to the subjects of waves (20 papers), coastal sediment problems and beach process (26 papers), coastal and offshore structures (35 papers), tsunami and harbor oscillations (10 papers), environmental problems (16 papers), and miscellaneous problems (5 papers).
