Coefficients to Analyze Rectangular Slab Bridges

Guyon-Massonet load-distribution theory is modified and extended to yield a method for the development of a system of coefficients to analyze simply-supported rectangular slab bridges with or without intermediate isolated supports. This system of coefficients is an efficient method of presentation of the influence surfaces for moments or deflections at any point on a particular slab due to an arbitrarily placed concentrated load. The load-distribution characteristic predicted by the theory is evaluated from available experimental results.
