Serial Information: Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1978, Vol. 104, Issue 4, Pg. 959-964

Document Type: Journal Paper

Koiter's well-known theory of initial post-buckling behavior of structures has been widely uised in the analysis of shells, plates, frames, columns, rings, and shallow arches. Recently, Dym applied it to nonshallow circular arches subjected to a constant-directional pressure, which he analyzed on the basis of approximate nonlinear equations.
