Abstract: Proceedings of the Water Distribution Systems Analysis 2008 conference, held in Kruger National Park, South Africa, August 17-20, 2008. Sponsored by the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of ASCE. The conference promoted a greater collaboration among scientists and water professional from both the developed and developing world to better manage water distribution systems for safeguarding human health, stronger interaction among distribution system researchers and practitioners, and increased availability of information about pipe networks to the general public. Topics of these 100 include: development, calibration and application of water distribution system models; modeling and monitoring distribution systems to address reliability, security and disaster response; advanced in network water demand simulation, management and re-use; water quality monitoring technology, modeling and practices in distribution systems; water quality modeling and prediction; leak detection, management and modeling; water supply problems and successes in developing countries.
