Abstract: This proceedings, Water Resources Engineering 98, contains summaries of papers presented at the 1998 International Water Resources Engineering Conference held in Memphis, Tennessee, August 3-7, 1998. The conference theme is Water Resources: Development and Protection. The papers address a range of topics traditional to hydraulic engineering, hydrologic engineering, and irrigation and drainage irrigation. The conference was held in conjunction with the Ground Water Management Symposium. The conference integrated mini-symposia on channel restoration, bridge scour, stream bank protection, and hydraulics and hydrology of wetlands as secondary themes.
