| Abstract: |
The use of drainwater for irrigation was demonstrated as a management option that reduces net farm drainage and provides control over water quality (O’Brien and Guitjens, see these proceedings). Although the potential for drainwater use has been demonstrated, the long-term effects on soil water salinity and soil structure, and net transport of salutes to wetlands, are less easily observable. The objective was to investigate the possible long-term effects on soil and drainwater chemistry. |
