Abstract:

The State Water Resources Control Board and the federal Environmental Protection Agency have described water quality objectives for selenium in the San Joaquin River. In order to achieve these water quality objectives in the River and maintain subsurface drainage of agricultural land, Pacheco Water District is constructing a project to allow recirculation and reuse of the subsurface drainage water when discharge is not allowed or is limited because of water quality concerns.
