Abstract:

The characteristics of the stream channel morphologies in a very steep mountain ravine are explained by the data obtained through the longterm field observation. The bed load transportation in case of a small scale flood is controlled by hydraulic conditions in the pool of the step-pool morphology and the sediment discharge calculated by a bed load equation rather well fits to the observed one.
