Abstract:

An Historical Bridge Alternatives Analysis report prepared for New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for Route 1&9 S.B. viaduct in Newark, New Jersey evaluated the options for upgrading the facility while meeting historical and economic objectives. Bridge replacement with mitigation was recommended including incorporating design features that would create a similar appearance to the original structure.
