Abstract:

Recent developments in Safety Research, as supported by the Gas Research Institute (GRI), have consisted primarily of hardware-oriented applications to various gas industry safety operations. These operations have included: gas leak surveying, odorant management, and indoor air quality safety. In each operation, the benefits of proposed and ongoing GRI concepts are compared in performance with the state of the art approach. Successful technology transfers are described.
