Abstract:

Four Point (Delong et al. 1993) is a finite-difference, one-dimensional, unsteady, open channel, hydrodynamic model. The Modeling Support Branch of the Division of Planning, California Department of Water Resources (DWR), has initiated a project to adapt Four Point Model as a tool to study the complex hydraulic system found in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (hereafter called the Delta). This study started as a 3 year project. The details of the first phase of this project are discussed in this paper.
