Abstract:

This paper describes a information system called RISE (Resource Information System, Engineers) developed at the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratories (USACERL). RISE assists in gathering and providing detailed resource programming information for the military engineer to plan and defend resource requirements. The system provides for collection and submission of data to different groups within the organization hierarchy. The system includes links to many other functional Army systems to improve data consistency and to avoid duplication of data entry.
