Abstract:

More and more structural analysis and design work is done using computers. The trend will continue because the software is becoming more powerful and the cost of computers is falling. Besides, proper use of computers can minimize errors, improve quality of work, and reduce engineering man-hours. This paper discusses some of the computer programs and time-saving features used at Brown & Root.
