Abstract:

This paper presents a summary of a study on the dynamics of dissolved oxygen in a tidal reach of the Johor River due to the discharge of agro-industrial waste subject to freshwater flow and tidal forcing. Tidal flows are assessed by means of simple continuity equation as well as the DYNHYD5 flow model. The water quality model WASP5 is then used to assess the impact of discharging organic waste on the distributions of dissolved oxygen.
