Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Computing in Civil and Building Engineering

Abstract:

Reinforcement details in concrete structures are inherently complex. Therefore, the treatment of reinforcements is one of the most influential factors in the accuracy and efficiency of the analysis of concrete structures. To this end, an embedded-representation-based lower-order composite element is presented. The effectiveness of this element is demonstrated by solving numerical examples.
