Abstract:

The wheel/rail system is described here as a random vibration system, and the state variables are expressed with quadratic evaluation function. The passive control problem of the random vibration system of rail structure is discussed with an optimal control theory so as to provide basis for designing reasonable vibration absorber parameters. The complex mode analysis theory is used to process the vehicle-track system which is with nonproportional sticky damping. The nonstationary random vibration is numerically simulated, and the notable results are achieved.
