Abstract:

This paper presents a model for the current work packaging process for petrochemical plant piping construction. The basic foundation of the model is formed by identifying major decision variables that affect the work packaging process. The main structure of the model is developed by formalizing the evaluation processes of the variables through the identification of the related work packaging conventions and associated data items. The model is developed using the data flow diagram (DFD) modeling technique.
