Abstract:

The data management of traffic volume counts can be so overwhelming that limited time and effort is spent collecting and saving traffic counts. With the use of computer technology, however, the tasks of collection and storage of this data can be managed more smoothly and efficiently. One of the emerging tools for automation in this area is the closed loop system (CLS), which is used for surveillance, monitoringand database management of traffic control systems.
