Abstract:

Laboratory tests and five large scale lysimeters (7.3?3.0?3.0 m deep) have been constructed to collect information and data on hydrogeotechnical factors which affect an oil shale solid waste disposal embankment. Results from laboratory tests and the lysimeters are given to help assess the physical and constitutive properties of the processed oil shale for proper disposal and reclamation of the oil shale solid waste material.
