Abstract:

The Boney Falls Emergency Spillway was designed as a mass roller compacted concrete structure. Alternative designs considered include a fuse plug, lowering the embankment and paving with RCC or providing an anchored core wall with conventional concrete paving. Final design studies, preliminary mix designs, construction cost and performance information are provided.
