Abstract:

The results of analytical and experimental studies are presented, showing that the proposed method for indirect determination of gas transfer coefficients at gas-liquid interfaces, based on information generated by the dissolution of a floating solid, seems to be a useful methodology. The equations proposed were verified in two laboratory experiments with distinct geometries and physical conceptions.
