Abstract:

Innovative construction methods were required to erect structural steel inside a 170 foot long box truss over a railroad. The contractor engineered and executed a unique system to roll the assembled steel into place. This paper details the various features of the system, the engineering of the project, the planning of the operation and the implementation of the system.
