Abstract:

In mid 1986, the city of Sarasota was faced with the problem of removing a discharge of secondary treated wastewater from Sarasota Bay. The city embarked on a comprehensive evaluation of alternative effluent disposal/reuse options. Significant technical and non-technical issues were overcome in the implementation of one of the largest agriculrural reuse projects in the state of Florida.
