Abstract:

An extension to the one-line approach to coastline development modelling is presented in the light of the major parameters influencing the longshore sediment transport processes. The model extension allows the realistic inclusion of several forms of shore-parallel structures, while maintaining a deterministic description of the littoral transport and without incurring excessive computer requirements.
