Abstract:

This paper discusses the Recirculation Piping Replacement Project performed at Dresden Unit 3 during 1985 and 1986. It describes several of the technical and administrative problems associated with performing such an extensive modification on an operating nuclear facility. This paper also discusses the resolutions to these problems and some of the lessons learned during this project that are being implemented into the current modification process.
