Abstract:

This paper is concerned with an experimental investigation on the inelastic stability behavior of thin-walled tubular specimens of steel, aluminum and stainless steel, under cyclic loading conditions. It is concluded that the inelastic material characteristics played an important role in controlling the failure modes of these specimens.
