by Andrew Sienkiewich, Metropolitan Water District, Los Angeles, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulics/Hydrology of Arid Lands (H?AL)

Abstract:

The incentive to achieve greater conjunctive use in Southern California has been provided by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California through a special pricing mechanism known as Seasonal Storage Service. A discussion of Metropolitan's water rate structure is presented as well as a brief description of some projects and studies that are being carried out in the service area. A substantial increase in conjunctive use practices will be seen in the 1990's.
