Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Structural Safety and Reliability

Abstract:

Reliability based design of wood structural systems requires knowledge about the lifetime behavior of the system. The 50 year lifetime behavior of wood floors and flat roofs was examined using Monte Carlo simulation. The number of members which failed over the systemlifetime was examined. Load duration, random member properties and random load histories were included.
