Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Soil Properties Evaluation from Centrifugal Models and Field Performance

Abstract:

The paper describes measurements of fluctuating gas (oxygen) concentrations by means of a polarographic microscope near the air-water interface. The objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of measuring a gas boundary layer under reasonably realistic and well controlled turbulence conditions and to provide a data set comparable B.H. Brumley and G.H. Jirka's velocity measurements. Study materials, methods and results are discussed.
