Abstract:

This paper presents the KN-principle for wave - power conversion. The principle and components of the wave power converter are described and some practical relations are presented in order to calculate the power absorbed by the wave power converter in irregular sea states. The performance of a scale model has been tested at sea. Experimental results and practical experience gained through the sea trail are presented.
