Applications of Point-Slope Reservoir Routing

by Stanley S. Butler, Univ of Southern California, Dep of, Civil Engineering, Los Angeles, CA, USA,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Water for Resource Development

Abstract:

The point-slope method of routing flood flow through a reservoir uses point functions rather than the time incremental functions of conventional methods. It can be used to give an accurate final solution, or (in modified form) an approximate solution for a preliminary study, or a check on a routing solution by some other method.
