Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Structural Engineering in Nuclear Facilities

Abstract:

This paper provides background and justification for the design of closely spaced non-ductile drilled-in expansion bolts (bolts). It describes testing used to establish allowable design values. The design values thus established for closely spaced drilled-in-expansion bolts are discussed in light of requirements of ACI 349-80 'Code Requirements for Nuclear Safety Related Concrete Structures'.
