| Abstract: |
Deck surfacing is still the emphasis of long-span steel bridge construction. Well-rounded design specifications for steel deck pavement still cannot be found at home or abroad. The basic ideas and methods for the design of steel deck pavement in the world were reviewed and summarized in this article. Combined with the "Code for the Designs of the Steel Structures in the Highway Bridges" (JTP D64-2010), basic design principles, indexes and standards were presented according to fatigue mechanism and analysis. Conversion expressions of axle-load based on fatigue-equivalent was stated briefly. Based on the design framework of mechanical theory methods, suitable design process and flow chart were put forward. Achievements have been used in several design projects successfully. |
