Engineers and historians could not let their concern for preservation deter them from also ensuring functionality and safety in rehabilitating the iconic Bridge of Lions, in St. Augustine, Florida-one of the nation’s oldest cities. For this historically important community the reopening of the revitalized bridge marks a victory that was nearly 30 years in the making. |
