Based on the compressible Navier-Stokes equations and k-ε turbulent model, a two-dimensional and three-dimensional CFD model is built and Finite Volume Method (FVM) is used to calculate aerodynamic characteristics of high-speed train with porous wind fence on Lan-Xin railway. At first, 2D model was used to optimize the wind fence height. According to the 2D calculation results, the optimal wind fence height is 4m. Then 3D model was used to calculate the aerodynamics of high-speed train with wind fence at 0% and 20% porosity respectively. The side force, lift and rolling moment were obtained at different train speed. All above results can be a reference to the wind fence design. |
