| Abstract: |
The working process of trains sorting with various technical operation systems at marshalling station has the common characteristics of event-driven, asynchronism and concurrency with general queuing system. This paper is aimed at the two-stage series services system that includes train examination and break-up on hump in receiving and break-up system of marshalling station. With the operation project of double pushing and single humping and considering the randomicity of the train arriving interval, the train examination time and the break-up time, a general stochastic Petri net model is presented to simulate its operation process. The indexes such as queuing length, waiting time and utilization of facilities are calculated based on Petri net theory to evaluate and optimize the performance, capacity and level of service of the system. |
