ICCTP 2009: Critical Issues In Transportation Systems Planning, Development, and Management |
| Abstract: |
In China thousands of kilometers of rural roads need to be paved. In order to reduce the construction and maintenance costs, the interlocking concrete block pavement can be used in low traffic rural road. The structural design criteria of interlocking concrete block pavement, with different types of base causes was researched. The results indicated that the design criteria is different for different base course. The methods of the criteria calculating and structure design were given. |
