Abstract: The "Journal of Pipeline Systems Engineering and Practice" provides an authoritative international forum for timely and in-depth exchange of integrated technical solutions, and will support the professional interests of a broad group of researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government with new pipeline technologies, planning, engineering, design, construction (trenchless and conventional), renewal, safety, operation and maintenance, asset management, environmental aspects and sustainability of pipeline systems. The Journal will cover all the areas of technical interest summarized by the following (non-exclusive) bulleted list, which may be addressed by analytical studies, physical testing, computational methods, full scale trials or operational experiences and case studies in all areas of water, gravity sewer (sanitary and storm), oil, gas, and utility/telecommunication applications. Major topics: 1) Current and emerging technologies, investigation innovations; 2) Pipe materials, composites, hybrids and .smart. pipes; 3) Internal and external coatings and protections; 4) Pipeline system hydraulics, modeling and pumping; 5) Developments in codes, specifications, and standards; 6) Hazard identification, locating, security and safety; and 7) Pipeline system components.
