Abstract: Under the pressure of intensive competition in the market palce, most manufacturing enterprises exert themselves to design newer products continuously and have to depend on price reduction to award more market portions and total sales. Driven by the traditional thoughts of maximum enterprise profits, manufacturing enterprises always transmit the pressure of price reduction to their upstream cooperative suppliers directly. In addition, most manufacturing enterprises only measure the suppliers’ performance results, but seldom examine or supervise the procurement process to help their suppliers. This paper develops a new type suppliers’ performance measurement system, and defines indexes of self-abilities and coordinated abilities on the core-business organizations, through-business organizations and supporting-business organizations. The system not only assesses the practical performance effect but also directs and supervises the operational process of suppliers by evaluating their coordinated abilities.
