Abstract: "Global scope economies" is an important tool in measuring the internal efficiency of diversified railway logistics. This article applies the "multi-product theory" to analyze the sources of diversified railway logistics and estimate the quadratic cost function. The empirical findings show that global scope economies do not exist on mean output level. Global scope diseconomies are gradually reducing until the scale expands to 250%. When the scale continues to expand, the Global scope diseconomies will significantly increase.
