Most of the items in this sketch book pertain to engineering geology; the application of the principles and practice of geology to the planning, design and construction of civil engineering works. But the petroleum geologist, the mining geologist and the general practitioner should find something of geologic interest in the book, or perhaps will recognized a familiar scene. Interested with the geological incidents are occasional sketches of landscapes.
