Abstract:
With the advent of prepackaged software programs that practically set up a Web site by themselves, small engineering firms may assume that designing and operating a Web site is a snap. The truth is, there are plenty of easy mistakes that even larger firms make, but which are easy to avoid. Clear content aimed at the client community as well as potential employees is key; sections that highlight successful projects add credibility. Once the content is determined, function dictates form on the best business Web sites, with clearly labeled links guiding visitors to their chosen destinations and user-friendly layouts that make the site simple to navigate.
