Abstract:

(No paper) The Charles River Basin is a major water resource in eastern Massachusetts. It used for a variety of purposes including water supply, industrial cooling, waste disposal, flood control, wetland preservation, and recreation. The upper parts of the basin are rural/suburban in land use while the lower part is urban, being dominated by the cities of Boston and Cambridge.
