Abstract:

A spatially distributed unit hydrograph is developed based on linear system theory applied to subareas or cells within a watershed Each cell has a unique unit response function independent of the functioning of other cells. Convolution of these response functions along cell to cell flow paths throughout the watershed produces the runoff response at the outlet to spatially distributed precipitation excess.
