The Civil Engineering Database (CEDB) is designed to provide easy bibliographic access to all ASCE publications. The database covers all the journals, conference proceedings, books, standards, manuals, magazines, and newspapers. Journal papers with abstracts go back to 1970. Non-abstract journal records go back to 1958. The book records are complete dating back to the early 1900s. The database is constantly expanded and enriched.

You can search the database by a variety of fields. The default index is the "All Text Field" that searches words from all the fields including the titles, keywords, abstracts, etc. You can also narrow your search by searching only the Title, Subject Headings, Authors, Document Types, and Journal Titles. For additional search help, go to the Search Tips and Techniques page. You can browse the Subject Heading List to help you select relevant terms. A unique feature of the database is that it links discussions, closures, and erratas, back to the original records.
