Abstract: A comprehensive survey and in-depth analysis related to reflective cracking have been conducted at five expressways in Jiangsu province, China. This paper presents analysis results with respect to the main influencing factors of pavement transverse cracking and reflective cracking, revealing the developing mechanism of pavement transverse cracking and reflective cracking. Furthermore, influencing factors and their effects on reflective cracking of semi-rigid base are also proposed in this paper. Several recommendations are presented to effectively prevent reflective cracks.
