Abstract: Generally speaking, photogrammetry is the science of turning photographs into 3D models. While flashy advertisements may convey the idea that it's as simple as pushing a button (e.g., on a drone remote) and shoving your pictures into a black-box piece of software, things change when it's no longer just a matter of creating a cartoon, but a metric 3D model for engineering purposes.
